Meet Dr. Poulsen

Dr. Rachel Poulsen is a longtime Indiana resident and grew up in Indianapolis. After receiving a Biology degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI, Dr. Poulsen returned to Indiana for her dental school education. She went on to graduate with honors from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2009. After dental school Dr. Poulsen completed a one year advanced education residency through the University of Florida. While there, she learned advanced concepts in TMJ therapy, implant dentistry, restorative dentistry and periodontal therapy.

Dr. Poulsen is committed to excellence in comprehensive dentistry and giving her patients the best of care. While in Florida, she attended many advanced education courses including courses through the Pankey Institute and the Dawson Academy which centered on TMJ therapy and total mouth rehabilitation.  Dr. Poulsen continues to study at the Pankey Insitute and is a member of two Pankey based study clubs in Grand Rapids, MI and Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Poulsen is a member of the International Affiliation of Tongue Tie Professionals (IATP) and a preferred provider for the diagnosis and treatment of oral restrictions.  Dr. Poulsen is Invisalign Certified and became an Invisalign Preferred Provider in 2017. 

As a Michiana resident since 2010, she is proud to be a part of this community and call Michiana home.  Dr. Poulsen was inducted into the Michiana 40 under 40 class of 2016. 

Dr. Poulsen has been married to her husband, Michael, since 2005 and they have a 2 sons and a daughter.  As a member of her college golf team, she still enjoys golfing with her husband and family. Some of her other interests include biking with her dog and on her Peloton, TaeKwonDo, attending continuing education, and planning activities with her family.  Dr. Poulsen is a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granger.
